Grannymar tagged me a week or more back and I’ve been dipping in and out of choosing my posts ever since. So, after trawling through the basement of the blog…
The Rules:
Post 5 links to 5 of your previously written posts. The posts have to relate to the 5 key words given here (family, friend, yourself, your love, anything you like).
Tag 5 other friends to do this meme. Try to tag at least 2 new acquaintances (if not, your current blog buddies will do) so that you get to know them each a little bit better.
Don’t forget to read the archived post and leave comments.
1. Family. I didn’t have to go back too far for this one. It’s the entry I posted about my DaDa’s birthday party back in October. My DaDa hasn’t been too well lately, he’s been in hospital since Christmas, so it’s nice to look back on his big night out.
2. Friend. For this one I’ve chosen my post about my time in Mexico. That was over a decade ago but the friends I made around that time are still some of the best friends I have. When we talk, even after a very long time, it’s like we saw each other only yesterday. There’s talk of a reunion next year…I really hope it happens!
3. Yourself. Oh boy, this one is embarrassing but it’s good to keep me humble. I posted this nearly two years ago when I found a stash of my old diaries during a clean out at my parent’s house. Cringe!
4. Your Love. Doing this meme made me realise I don’t blog all that much about my husband (or most of the people in my life…I think it’s a privacy thing). For me a picture says things way better than prose though and I love this one of both my loves.
5. Anything You Like. Hmm, I think my favourite post (or group of posts) are the ones I did of the old Fox House in Greystones. I wish that I could find more places like this. When I was over in Mayo in September I saw so many great old houses and farms, but I don’t see them over this way so often. That’s why I loved exploring this one.
Thanks Grannymar that was fun! I don’t think I’ll tag anyone though, I need to go and get some sleep now!

Well done Claire!
I really enjoyed reading all the posts. I left a message on a couple. Bu do take my advice about the handwriting. We write so little nowadays that I worry our children and grandchildren might lose out. There is something about an aged and yellowing page of handwriting that gets me excited.
I think that’s a great idea Grannymar, my mother has lovely handwriting too, not like my own messy scratching. I have some old cards with my two Grandmother’s handwriting on them and I treasure them.
