50,008 words to be exact and I’m done! Funnily enough today was the easiest day so far, I was really enjoying it when I decided to do a quick wordcount. I nearly jumped out of my chair when I realised I’d made it.
The novel isn’t finished, I’d say I’m about three quarters of the way through thanks to NaNo though. The big challenge now will be finishing it without the deadline of NaNoWriMo to motivate me.
Anyway, congratulations to anyone else who’s made it and keep going to any out there who are still typing furiously to make the deadline.

Wooot! Congratulations! How magnificent.
It’s great that you didn’t start to wrap up when you saw the 50,000 mark getting closer. Please keep us updated on the progress, I promise to cheer you to the end! 🙂
Outstanding! And you didn’t even need any make-up days from your illness.
I’m thrilled for you. Well done.
Thanks Laurenen and Ann, and thanks for all the encouragement along the way.
That is so impressive, well done your for sticking at it – and now you have the bones of your book.
Care to tell us a bit about the story?
Good for you, what an accomplishment!
Wow I am so excited for you. I have no idea what you wrote about, but it is an impressive work for a month. This is just a voice from your past. I wanted to confirm that there are people in this world that think you are gifted and amazing. You possess something rare and beautiful. I would want to buy anything you had published.
Sinéad: Thanks! I have learned so much from doing this and I think having those bones is the best part of it all. As for the story, well, I’m a bit superstitious about sharing things too early but I will say it’s called The Muckrakers and if I had to pick a genre it’s probably a Young Adult novel.
Angelina: Thank you…and you’re still not off the hook about your embarrassing story you know. I’m going to have to hear it.
Amy: Hello voice from my past! Thanks so much for making me smile, I’m really happy you found my blog (I’m guessing it was through Angie’s…she’s like the AIM reunion coordinator or something). And you have a blog! I’m off to check it out 🙂
Stands back in awe. Congratulations to you and all the other writers. Looking forward to getting my copy signed in Easons.
Claire!!!!
Congratulations girlie! Way to go you writing devil you! It is amazing to see how you are using your talents! I’m really proud to know ya!
Well done young lady! I started a novel 6 months ago, you’ve encouraged me to maybe unwrap it again.
