Ok, ok, I guess it’s only fair that I finally allow someone to point a camera at me for a change! You guys have asked to see a photo of me so here’s one that’s very recent…just a couple of weeks ago in fact at my DaDa’s birthday/retirement party. This is a shot of the man of the hour with his grandkids…well, most of them, three others weren’t present because they were a little too young to be at the party. I’m the one in the centre to my DaDa’s left. I know a few of my cousins check my blog out from time to time but they’re all so fabulous-looking I know they won’t mind me showing them off.
One thing that’s become a bit of a tradition with these cousins is that when we all get together we re-enact a photograph taken over twenty years ago (1985 I think it was, or was it 86? Maybe one of my cousins can correct me). It was taken one Christmas on the stairs in my grandparent’s house in Glenageary. I’m sitting right at the top left, aged about 13, and my little brother (who may just kill me) is the one on the bottom right with his finger wedged in his nose:
This one is from 2000, at my grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary (just to show my brother turned out to be a very respectable young man despite earlier bad habits, he’s the one on the bottom left):
And then the latest one from the party a few weeks ago (with the addition of Shauna at the front, who was only a twinkle when the first photo was taken.):
So there you go…not just one photo of me but a whole family history 😀

Still dont recognise you from School, so that aint a bad thing although I am sure we passed each other loads of times while doing the rounds of the Library.
Love the stairs throughout the years really cool seeing how people have changed or in some cases have not changed.
Me and all my cousins on my Dads’ side had our photo taken at our Grandparents 40th Anniversary in 1983, all standing in a line, in order from tallest to shortest.
10 years later, at their 50th, we did it again, from shortest to tallest. Me and my cousin Amy, who were the shortest in 1983, were the tallest in 1993, and my cousin Ian, who had been the tallest, was now the shortest!
We did it again in 2003 (at their 60th anniversary!), but the heights had stayed pretty much the same, apart from my sister Sarah, who had been “a bump” in 1983, and the smallest in 1993. She was somewhere in the middle in 2003.
I love these type of photos that tell a story and have a history all of their own.
Oh you’re dead!
A family photo is not just a photo.
It’s a chapter in life’s story book.
Enjoyed this one.
Wow, those are great photos. And I loved the ones of Eva too. She’s a doll!
Hey, I wanted to tell you that Paige wrote me and asked me to tell you that you aren’t welcome on her blog anymore. It is kind of a respectable place and she was kind of worried about the stories you might share. Sorry about that. I guess you’ll just need to keep them stories to yourself now.
Aww, that’s a real pity because I had some wonderfully flattering stories to tell about you Tim. I’ll have to keep them for my memoirs I guess.
Love, love, love the pics!!! So happy you posted them. You look just the same. I believe it is about time for you to start aging dear!!

Class pics, embarrassing but class!!!
This Paige doesn’t mind if you tell Tim stories. Does that give you some sort of dispensation?
Love the brilliant photos. In addition to all the previous comments, the photos suggest a family that is close and great fun. All my family photos have someone trying to avoid being snapped!
The other Paige
Hey Paige, ah the Tim stories I could tell…but then I’ve got to save something good for my autobiography.
LOVE the haircuts in 1985!!!!!!!!
It’s better lookin I’m gettin…….
Luv Sarah
Hi Claire
Lovely family portrait. John looks wonderful and so obviously energised by the presence of his grandchildren. Looking at his pose, chin projecting, I can still see him moving gracefully out on to the dance floor over 60 years ago to quickstep or tango. Funny how things like our way of standing or moving remain with us even into old age.
Grannymar’s blog is dead on the button.
Jim (F)
Hi Jim, thanks for stopping by my website! Yes, he’ll always be a dancer no matter what. I was in with him today and he was telling me that he’d been talking to you on the phone. I think that cheered him up a lot.
Oh, and I love Grannymar’s blog too…ever think of starting your own? I’m sure you’d have some great stories to tell.
