I posted before about joining Bookmooch. Well, two months on and I still love it but one thing it hasn’t done is clear space on my bookshelf. The pile above is a portion of the books I have to read and doesn’t include a couple more that sit on my bedside table and there are more on the way! It’s just too much fun though, I love getting these book packages from all over the world and the little notes and postcards that come with them.

I love the Odd Thomas books, and the Alexander McCall Smith’s are terrific! I think I will mosey to Bookmooch.
Hey Claire,
I have read ‘Star of the Sea’, by Joseph O’Connor, its an excellent book and beautifully illustrated with text and typography. Strong stuff mind you but a gripping read.
I’ve also read some other O’Connor too, notably ‘Secret life of the Irish Male’ – very funny, he’s a talented writer.
Enjoy your books.
Cheers.
Hi Sophie, I think I’ll probably read Odd Thomas next, I read the first couple of pages the other night and it hooked me straight away.
Davy, I’ve been meaning to read Star of the Sea for awhile. Have you read the sequel yet?
Nice selection there. I started reading Star of the Sea. Joseph O’Connor is a powerful writer, he deserves more aclaim than he gets. I think he is right up there with the literary giants of the World. I read somewhere that he can see the Joyce tower in Sandycove from a window in his house and it inspires him to write as well as James Joyce!
SEQUEL!!
You’re telling me there’s a sequel?
Damn, that means all my self-improvement business/psychology/marketing books will have to go on the ‘back-burner’ for awhile.
Ironically that includes a great book called ‘The Now Habit’ by Niel Fiore, and it’s all about procrastrination 😉
Procrastinating reading a book about procrastination…that sounds like something I would do 😀
Yes, the sequel is called Redemption Falls I believe.
