It was a really good weekend for photography. I got out both days and got some shots that I’m really happy with. I’ve been meaning to go to Greystones Harbour for awhile and I made it down there on Saturday evening just as the last of the light was disappearing.
It was bitterly cold and my fingers were so numb I nearly dropped my camera into the water in this old rowing boat but it’s my favourite shot of the afternoon:
I’ll post some more tomorrow.

nice palettes.
I like the perspective. The reflection of the sky in the boat’s water pool creates mood and tranquility – you had a good eye for that shot.
Also, Greystones really does have grey stones!
Fantastic stuff. Love the haze of blue that saturates the colours, reminds me of early Irish morns in winter.
Why is it whenever I try take a photo like that it turns out awful?!!
Thanks for the comments guys. I was really happy with how these turned out.
Travors, I feel that way more often than not, my trick is to take way too many photographs…that way odds are better that I’ll get at least a few that work.
Plus there are a few other wee tricks I’m picking up as I go along, mostly from other much better photographers and some that I find by accident. Maybe I’ll do a post and pass a few of them on.
Such wonderful photos…. so quiet, yet so moving.
