It’s been way too long but I’m back and I’ve actually got photographs! I’ve been holed away in my office for the past month doing the animation thing and it has taken over my life a little bit, not much photography happening. But that was remedied over the weekend when I shot my first wedding and a christening!
The wedding was down in Rosslare on Saturday and I will be posting more about that but first a little something from the christening yesterday in Kilternan at my favourite little church. The Blue Church has been around since the early 1800’s and it’s wooden which is very unusual for Ireland. The christening was beautiful and as I walked to my car the clouds parted and gave me this wonderful view.

Wow, what an amazing pic!
Wow, what a stunning shot!
Welcome back home, the blogosphere has been quiet without you, cant wait to see some of the wedding shots and glad to hear it all went ok even with the poxy weather.
Good to see you back.
Welcome back I was having withdrawal symptoms! I know that church, is there a graveyard over on the far side?
Thanks guys. Grannymar, I’m not sure, I’m a sucker for graveyards but I didn’t spot one near here. Strange to have such an old church without one.
Welcome back to the ‘real’ world 😉
Nice pic of the church, looking forward to normal service being resumed as soon as possible.
Cheers.
hey, i really liked your work in portraits.
i like taking portraits myself, but most of your pics, have some…. pure look in the looks… really inspiring
Wooooo, welcome back! 🙂
And what a great shot to come back with.
Fantastic clouds Claire. Everyone loves that little church but you really captured it’s location, I can feel the chill coming in off the mountains.
Welcome back.
xx
ps, when you are ready, still keen for you to meet Boo and Bratty!

Gorgeous. I think I detect a big old Terry Gilliam foot just behind that cloud.
I want to hang this image in an exhibition I’m organising in Clerkenwell London as part of a workers’ cooperative art display – If you consent it will be a total of 7 photographers contributing to the inaugural exhibition. Sales of all work goes to the contributing artist, so this is not some get rich quick scam – it’s a genuine offer of some exposure. Carrie will vouch for my credentials. remember the church well every sunday going to mass and the school in the rear went there till 1978 when we moved sad day still have relitives there some passed and the old cottage we lived in 149 glenamuck road the house that they replaced it with brambledown is as i believe haunted as was the old one . god help any builder who has the pleasure of trying to get rid of the fairy fort as they tried before and we know what happened also the ground is not suitable for building
