The main reason for going to Kilmacurragh this weekend was to take some photographs of Eve and her cousins for my Mum, the doting granny (she’ll love that one). We’re going to get these ones printed onto canvas so I’m excited to see how they turn out.

And this is a little stone shed near the carpark, love this window:

Hi,
Some great pics. The first one has great DOF/Bokeh and colouring and the last one is a lovely composition. Did you try the last one with the girl peeping through from the other side ?
Did you use some fill flash on the last one ?
Ronan
Hi Ronan, thanks! I didn’t try her peeping from the other side because I had just taken this one when I realised there was broken glass still attached to the window frame! Still, I was glad to nab this one. No, no fill flash, the absence of a roof on the shed meant there was plenty of light 😀
Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!
I’m broody all over again!
They are georgous.
These are beautiful, such gorgeous family snaps! Love the bokeh around Eve’s head in the first pic.
I’ve been dying to get a few pics printed on to canvas so let me know how you get on!
Would like to find out how you find the prints on canvas too.
Love the last one especially, a really surreal Alice in Wonderland type feel given by the relative size of Eve to the window, and how it seems to be another world on the other side, which she could be about to step into.
Some people don’t like shots of people’s backs because you don’t get to see their face, but I like them for the view you can show of what they’re looking at or where they’re going.
After quite a while of saving, my 5D should be arriving tomorrow, so I’ll probably spend a lot of time shooting
The little sweetpeas!
what a lovely photo!!!
