Eve’s First Drawing

scribble Ta Da Daaaa! Yes, this wonderful piece was produced by my 14-month-old daughter Eve who has finally worked out that when a pencil is applied to paper (with her left hand I noticed…just like her Da) and dragged from side to side, a pleasing mess can be made.

Of course, this is not just a bunch of scribbles, if you look closer I believe you’ll see she was trying to capture the upriver migration of the adult pacific salmon.

What a gifted child, my own 14 month old just eats pencils and crayons, I’ll keep at it until he figures out what your wee one already has.

Thanks for nominating redmum, she deserves a prize, your own blog is damned good as well, I’ve just found it through your comments at redmum, glad to have met you!

Thanks :)… good to meet you too

It was a sudden epiphany for her, up until now she would suck on pencils and then use them as drumsticks.

Bold and confident lines articulating the quest for self-expression in a world demanding conformation. And a natural appreciation of the constant challenge between light and dark…..Give that child a commission while you can still afford her!

Sorry to tell you Claire, but it is definitely two dinoasaurs fighting and I’ll show you presently, just can’t at the moment, due to home dial up connection and no programmes.

Watch this space…

Thanks everyone, I’ll pass on your appreciations of her first work 🙂
