Ta Da Daaaa! Yes, this wonderful piece was produced by my 14-month-old daughter Eve who has finally worked out that when a pencil is applied to paper (with her left hand I noticed…just like her Da) and dragged from side to side, a pleasing mess can be made.

Of course, this is not just a bunch of scribbles, if you look closer I believe you’ll see she was trying to capture the upriver migration of the adult pacific salmon.

What a gifted child, my own 14 month old just eats pencils and crayons, I’ll keep at it until he figures out what your wee one already has.

It was a sudden epiphany for her, up until now she would suck on pencils and then use them as drumsticks.
Bold and confident lines articulating the quest for self-expression in a world demanding conformation. And a natural appreciation of the constant challenge between light and dark…..Give that child a commission while you can still afford her!
