You might not have noticed….I kind of love Maple Trees.

Happy Monday, had a good weekend? I had an extremely busy one with a birthday/rugby World Cup party on Saturday and a massive walk yesterday posting flyers about a new school we’re trying to get for Greystones. Put on top of all that the fact that Eve’s not very well at all and it was pretty hectic. Not many chances to relax…ie take photos. We may have another trip to the emergency room looming so this photo is my little calm before the storm.

A flower to thank those of you who helped me choose a photo to put in the One In Four Auction. In the end I chose two…Making A Splash (which got the most votes from you guys) and Hands (because it’s a special one for me). The exhibition and auction take place on Thursday 29th November 2007, in the Stephenâ€™s Green Hibernian Club, 9 St. Stephens Green. I’ll let you know how they got on.

I loved this peaceful little spot down by the river in Mount Usher. It was almost like summer except for the sneaky reflection of red leaves in the water.

There is a large section of Mount Usher given over to these tall Eucalyptus trees with their beautiful multi-coloured bark. I got some strange looks from other people walking through the gardens while I took these but I think I’m getting better about not being so self-conscious when I’m out taking pictures. Of course when Eve gets a little older it’ll probably embarrass her no end that her mum is forever hugging trees and hanging off walls to take photographs.

Maple Sunlight

Mount Usher gardens is a beautiful spot in the town of Ashford in Co. Wicklow. Eve and I went for a walk there on Saturday to see the Maple Trees and the changing colours.
