Garda Prank On Q102

Matt just got home and informed me that he heard the Garda prank call on the radio on Q102. They didn’t mention this webpage at all so fame and fortune eludes me once more, but still, it’s kind of cool to see how it’s doing the rounds.

40 Foot Christmas Swim 2006

Christmas morning wouldn’t be the same without crowds of crazy people jumping into the sea all around Ireland. One of the most popular spots is the Forty Foot in Sandycove and this year my husband Matt was one of the lunatics:

We go down every year now and the atmosphere is always great. Here’s a few more of the other swimmers with a couple more shots on Flickr:

Garda Communication

So what happens if you have two mobile phones, and you use the first phone to ring one garda station and the second phone to ring another garda station and you hold the two phones together to “talk” to each other?

(NOTE: Garda = the Irish Police force just in case you were wondering.)

Disclaimer: Blogorrah posted that I had been the one to actually perform the calls. Just to clarify…I wasn’t in on the original prank, I just heard it and thought it was too good not to share.

Dawn Fog

Foggy Dawn

I know it’s causing all sorts of problems for people trying to travel this Christmas, but this fog makes for some really nice views from my backgarden.

Blogger Meet-Up

Colm over at InFactAh is organising a Christmas Blogger get-together tonight in the Market Bar in Dublin from 7pm onwards and all are welcome. I’m going to be there and there seems to be a nice group of others signed up so it should be a good laugh.

I went to the blogger meet-up this time last year and, once I’d managed to find everyone, I had a great night.

Hope to see you there!
