Dublin Community Blog

Things have gotten hugely busy for me of late. Work is ramping up as a major deadline looms, I’m involved in a couple of fund-raising events for Barretstown and at the end of the week I will be going to England for about three weeks on business. On top of all of that, Eve is now a full-blown toddler with the ability to hone in on all the dangerous and/or fragile items within the first two seconds of entering any room.

So, what do I do? Why take on more projects of course. Daragh McGrath very kindly asked me last week to join in as a contributor on the new Dublin Community Blog and I jumped at the chance. Of course this means I’ll have to actually start leaving my house and seeing what this city has to offer but that’s no bad thing.

If the Dublin Community Blog has been the thing to get you out of the house, it is worth it for that alone.
Get out more. Reaching out via blogging is not getting out. You must smell the streets. Look into the soul of the newspaper seller and listen to other people’s conversations.

Otherwise your art will wither.

I’ll be looking out for you.

What a very cool blog! I’m finally planning my trip back to Ireland for the end of this year, so I’ll be a frequent visitor for the site looking for things that the locals like to do there 🙂 Have plans for New Year’s Eve yet? Hehe!

Why don’t you ‘hire’ a ghost blogger to write for you? You name the subject, the number of words, indicate the preferred style (or direct ‘in a style similar to this post’) and enjoy Eve’s company.

I know a lass who is regularly inspired to write but equally regularly devoid of material that you could call on.

In theory, it sounds like a great idea…but I’m too much of a control freak 😀
