Waiting To Cross

After my bouncy bridge happy accident the other night I wanted to experiment with some more long exposures. This was taken on O’Connell Street with my camera propped on the top of a bin so I could set the shutter speed to eight seconds and capture the light trails of the traffic. The larger version shows the ghostly pedestrian a little better.

Well done again Claire. Nice crisp buildings (good steady bin!) and great contrast to the ghostly pedestrian.

Is this still the Canon 10D ? Good camera.

I was way out of date on cameras so I splashed out on a Nikon D80 today. I really need to get back properly to photography. You’ve inspired me, thanks!

Congratulations on the new camera John. Mine is still my old trusty 10D (well, it’s only 3 years old but it’s a bit of a dinosaur already). To be honest, if I was starting out again I’d be tempted to go with Nikon, they’re really nice cameras. I’m looking forward to seeing your photos.
