#26: Milton

A good day for portraits today. I set out at lunchtime to explore the area around Smithfield and I spotted Milton from across the road, enjoying his lunch in a little pool of sunlight. Our conversation was via sign language but he was all smiles and happy to oblige the crazy lady. Even wrote his name in the dust on the window after I took the shot.

Edited to add that the short list for the Blog Awards has been made even shorter and Gingerpixel has survived the chop in the Best Blog and Best Photoblog catergories! I didn’t realise there would be another round so I’m thrilled to bits to have made it through.

Great News Claire,
Who votes for these awards? You have my vote ten times over.
I’d say that you are neck and neck with Red Mum

All the best, fingers crossed.

Thanks guys and congratulations to you too Grannymar, I’m delighted you’ll be there on Saturday evening. Maurice, there’s no public vote this year, it’s all down to a panel of judges, but thanks for the vote of confidence all the same! 😀

Claire,
Love this shot of Milton, I’m a big fan of environmental portraits.
Great news on the shortlisting I know the competition is tough but I really hope you have a win tonight.

Was hoping to make it down for the awards myself, but not this year. Besides I’d be better going to the awards after upping the writing frequency on my own blog, which is languishing terribly at the moment.

Enjoy tonight
