I Did It!

nano winner

50,008 words to be exact and I’m done! Funnily enough today was the easiest day so far, I was really enjoying it when I decided to do a quick wordcount. I nearly jumped out of my chair when I realised I’d made it.

The novel isn’t finished, I’d say I’m about three quarters of the way through thanks to NaNo though. The big challenge now will be finishing it without the deadline of NaNoWriMo to motivate me.

Anyway, congratulations to anyone else who’s made it and keep going to any out there who are still typing furiously to make the deadline.

NaNoWriMo: The Home Stretch

Somehow I should have known I’d be cramming at the end.

  • Words Done: 42,500
  • Words Left: 7,500
  • Daily wordcount since being sick last week: 4,500
  • Number of times I quit each day: At least 10
  • So, it’s the final push. MUST.KEEP.TYPING!

    Animation Exercise 3: Ball Move

This is the last of the body mechanics animation exercises that I did for my course. I posted this one when it was at an earlier stage and this is it all cleaned up. There is an acting piece to follow…at some point…after this NaNoWriMo craziness is over.

    Animation Exercise 2: Box Jump

This is the second of the animation exercises I did for my course. It’s a simple body mechanics piece, like the previous one, but it was an excellent way to put into practice the new methods I was learning.

    Animation Exercise 1: Side Jump

    thumbnail

I finished my Animation Personal Training Course with Keith Lango a couple of weeks ago (sniff!). First of all I have to say it was absolutely excellent, it totally changed the way that I animate for the better and if he decides to do another round of teaching next year I couldn’t recommend it more. For anyone who wants to improve their animation whether they’re starting out or have been at it for awhile Keith knows his stuff and he’s a really nice guy too. So, there you go. Keith I’ll expect my cheque in the post OK?

I’ve been adding some polish to the exercises I did on the course and as I finish them I’ll post them. Of course, I could just keep tinkering and tinkering with them but at some point you just have to stop before it all turns to mush.
